From vision to launch in just 12 weeks

How we transformed Dentsu X’s global rebrand into a high-performing web experience.

The challenge

As Dentsu’s international presence grew, their existing website no longer matched their global ambitions and modern brand identity. After a major rebrand, the old site no longer reflected Dentsu X’s evolution into an innovation-driven, globally recognized agency.

While their internal design team created a bold new visual direction, rebuilding the website in-house was unfeasible within the tight 12-week deadline. Dentsu X needed an expert partner to deliver a high-performing, culturally adaptive global site quickly, without sacrificing design quality or flexibility.

Our approach

Dentsu X originally planned to handle the rebuild internally but, after consulting with us and reviewing our recommendations, chose to outsource development to IDHL to reduce pressure and speed delivery.

Developing design concepts

Using the refined, design-led concepts from their graphic team, we translated them into a strong digital format—carefully addressing typography, spacing, interactions, and technical details to ensure a seamless web experience.

Best-in-class Umbraco solution

We recommended Umbraco as the ideal platform: scalable, license-free, and suited for global content management. To meet the tight timeline, we developed the site in phases—launching priority pages as static versions first, with the goal to make all sections fully editable after launch.

Supporting an international experience

Since the site supports about 50 cultures, scalability and localization were key. We built a centralized model with detailed permissions so global teams could manage shared content, while local markets controlled their own pages, avoiding duplication and ensuring consistency.

The site also supports many languages, so we implemented enhanced editing controls that let teams adjust text color and presentation based on layout and overlay needs.

The results

Successfully built and launched within the 12-week deadline, Dentsu X now has a website that reflects their size and global scale, perfectly meeting the needs of their informed users.
