The challenge
A global leader in construction materials, Bauder works with local government and industry experts to create greener living spaces worldwide. However, their digital presence was failing to support the scale of their business.
Responsible for providing everything from waterproof membranes to solar energy solutions, Bauder’s site was not designed for direct sales, but for solution-based enquiries via their online form. However, their current platform fell short of meeting user needs. UX was hindered by incomplete content in search results, a confusing navigation structure and a restrictive CMS that made updates needlessly difficult.
The challenge ahead was clear: Bauder needed a platform that supported seamless UX, increased form submissions and encouraged repeat customers, all while reinforcing their reputation as an industry leader.
Our approach
To bring Bauder’s website up to code, we implemented an advanced Kentico solution that focused on efficiency, functionality and scalability.
A new experience with Kentico
Content is now enlivened - less static, clunky and seamlessly navigable. The replatform allowed for easy content entry, allowing internal editors to upload copy and restrict access to information in their area of concern. We launched BauderACE, an online portal where users can access gated content to better facilitate lead generation.
Transforming UX and design
The project began with an in-depth UX workshop, complete with user journey mapping, persona building and goal and risk assessment. This identified where we could deliver an easier navigation process for website visitors and refresh the site aesthetic. The updated design and consistent user interface, introduced through the new Xperience platform, ensure an engaging and intuitive experience for users.

The results
This wasn’t usual web rebuild – it was a project designed by professionals, for professionals.
- Since launch, Bauder experienced an uplift of +1,223 in online form submission, as well as 67,000+ PDF file downloads and 871 phone calls
- A total of 2.6 million search impressions, up by 1,677,214 from the previous year, and 84,000+ increase in clicks YoY
As part of the Kentico Partner Quality Audit, we submitted our work with Bauder and scored 90% with zero improvements needed. This project also won Kentico’s Site of the Month for October 2024.
With a stronger, more dynamic digital presence that matches their esteemed reputation, Bauder now has the foundations for sustained growth. The new Xperience by Kentico platform puts control over content management and search functionality in Bauder’s hands, helping clients seamlessly navigate the website and increase online form submissions.
